Lolly

Lolly, the pseudonym of Anna Kumble, burst onto the UK pop scene in the Summer of 1999 with the top ten hit “Viva La Radio”. Her second single “Mickey” raced into the top five cementing her status as one of pop’s emerging talents. Both singles were taken from her debut album handily named “My First Album” which reached number 21, with a third single – a double A side of “Big Boys Don’t Cry” and a cover of “Rockin’ Robin'” – completing a hat trick of top ten hits.

Her second album “Pick ‘n’ Mix” was released in 2000 yielding the top twenty hits “Per Sempre Amore (Forever In Love)” and a cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. Following this, Lolly reverted to her real name and began a career as a television presenter. Lolly/Anna became one of the faces to launch the CBBC Digital channel presenting various shows for them from the likes of the Junior Proms in the Park to “Xchange” (a wild live magazine style show.) Hosted MTV Select also many shows and continuity for Nickelodeon, CITV and the Disney Channel.

LOLLY’S Two albums were digitally re-issued in August 2018, and has had up to 4 million streams so far. With the love back in the air Lolly has returned to the studio to record new music.

“Paper Rain” is the latest track from Lolly and is available on all digital platforms.

Lolly is also now back shaking her pom pom’s performing at Festivals across the UK due to the demand for 90’/00’s pop music.

Please follow Lolly on her socials where I’m sure you will get to see lots of behind-stage antics.
